About Wiivv

Who We Are

Wiivv is a bionics company that creates 3D printed, custom gear using 3D-mapping technology, accessible by everyone from a smartphone. We are starting our journey by building a better foundation for every step you take with made-to-fit-you insoles and footwear.

STRIVING TO DEFINE THE FUTURE OF BODY GEAR, Wiivv was founded in the Summer of 2014 by Louis-Victor (LV) Jadavji and Shamil Hargovan. It is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada with a manufacturing R&D centre in San Diego, California. Its growing team of 30 is full of passion and expertise. We are startup savvy and ready with leaders from HP, EA, Google, Apple, Nike and 3D Systems. We have the best in computer vision, mechatronics and biomechanics, setting us up to define a new future.

The talk that introduced us to the world

Presenting at TechCrunch Hardware Battlefield at CES 2016, Shamil and Riley (Head of Marketing) enchanted the audience with a live demo of the speed and accuracy of Wiivv’s platform for customization. Wiivv finished with Runner-up honors.

A record-breaking Kickstarter campaign

Wiivv’s Kickstarter campaign for the BASE custom insole was a runaway success. It surpassed its goal with 72 hours, and finished with nearly $250K raised from 4,200 backers. It broke records in three different categories and is the most successful 3D printed object in crowdfunding history.

Founders recognized to Forbes 30 Under 30 List

Shamil Hargovan and Louis-Victor Jadavji - then 27 and 22 respectively - made the 2016 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Manufacturing and Industry. The powerful vision to disrupt multiple product categories through mass customization and the long list of strategic partners were key reasons for making the list.

One of Canada's Top Tech Companies

Wiivv is covered in BetaKit and elsewhere as one of the “Top 11 Canadian Tech Companies to Watch”. Proud to be Canadian, Wiivv has been garnering much press as a darling of the Canadian tech industry. It is proving that Canada is a hotbed for world-changing innovation.

OUR MANIFESTO

We want to start by promising to give you the tools to be your exceptional self. We are here to help humans like you to squeeze a bit more awesome out of every step, and we are pumped you have joined our tribe.

We want to give you an assist by making perfectly human products. And by that we mean you are our product. Because if something’s not made just for you, it’s made for no one in particular. Our decision to start with feet is a deliberate one. This allows us to build from the ground up towards our quest to prove that the human body can actually do more than we’ve been letting it. We will be relentless in designing, testing and producing that perfect fit for you. And as our products get ever more perfect and your comfort and endurance become ever greater, you’ll run out of excuses for not trying harder in everything you do.

If we were crass we’d say our mission is to get people off their butts because their feet feel fine. But perfect fit is just the beginning. Truth is, we are dedicated to building more durable humans. We see every footstep as a vast source of untapped energy and information. And we dream of the bionic enhancement of every man, woman and child out there. Yes, you heard us right. Bionic. Because if people can live longer, happier, better lives, they can be more productive and have a greater impact on mankind.

So, while we tirelessly work on our big vision of adding ten active years to your life, we can’t wait to see where your journey will take you.

From all of us at Wiivv,

#KeepGoing
